There is one of Europe's most famous bike routes that provides following the Danube between Passau and Vienna. With such a various range of landscapes, cultural and historical sites this route covers, without doubt, the most appealing stretch of this great river. cute farms, impressive castles, magnificent abbeys, steep vineyards and abundant plains all line the banks and provide wonderful contrasts as you pedal on from one hotel to the next. Itinerary includes 10 days, namely: cycling through Engelhartszell to Schlögen, cycling via Aschach and Wilhering to Linz, then, cycling via castle of Burg Clam to Grein, optional visit to Benedictine monastery and cycle ride. Seventh day involves cycling through famous 'Wachau' via vineyards and romantic villages to Krems. Final ride is into Vienna via castle of Greifenstein.
