Hello! I had to stay once in Bangkok hostel. I don't know about others, but I stayed in Big John's Hostel. I've heard it is the most popular hostel in south-east Asia and that is run by Australian. The accommodation is modest. The paint was pilling from the walls, the food is not quite agreeable, but the stuff is friendly. You can communicate with them on English, but they talk with some funny accent. Of course, there are some spoiled people who would complain. I find that they could clean and wash sheets more often. The guests of the hostel are modest and friendly, so you can meet interesting people, mostly at younger age. If you don't have great expectations, then Big John's Hostel is the right place for you.
