Best accommodation in Monticello, NY?

How can I find out where in Monticello I can get the best accommodation? I would like to surprise my girlfriend with a romantic weekend there, and I would also like to use that occasion to pop the question as well, so I really need something more than average; what’s more - something extraordinary.

Well, do not get me wrong, but why do you want to take her to Monticello? I mean, it is not like there are some exceptionally great hotels there…
If you ask me, if you have already decided to surprise her and to make your weekend absolutely perfect, I would gladly recommend you choose some other destinations.

I personally doubt that you will find some great hotel in Monticello, New York, because even the pricey ones are not even close to the hotels which are equally expensive but which are in some other towns. At least, that is what I can tell you from my own experience.

If I remember correctly, you won’t have such a wide range of options when it comes to Monticello. I know that this Kutsher’s Hotel is said to be nice, and with three stars (if the number of stars means anything to you), but when I was there, I was not really impressed with the accommodation.
