Shanghai is one of the most amazing cities I have ever visited, and I have been to many. There are plenty of things to be seen and done, and it is very populated. It is located at the sea, but it has no beaches, unfortunately. The nearest beach is about 50 kilometers away. There are several beaches there, but I have to tell you that, although they are good for relaxation, the sea looks yellow and dirty, so it is not too preferable for swimming. If you want, go to some of the three beaches (Chuan Sha, Feng Xian and Luchao Habor) but do not expect too much.
