I would really like to go to Croatia for a vacation, I have heard that the cities are very picturesque and attractive, and that the water is perfectly clear. But, I am a fan of sandy beaches to the point when a beach without sand isn’t a beach at all. Are there any sandy beaches on Croatian Coast? Many thanks for your help

Hello there. I can understand what you say, but not completely. I mean, sandy beaches do seem more attractive to some people, but I myself prefer rocks and stones  The water is much clearer on those beaches…But, if this is the main thing, that will make you decide where to stay, you will be happy to hear that there are several sand beaches in Croatia, some of them being very good ones. There are sandy beaches in Lopar, Nin, Murter, Omiš, and in Dubrovnik too. If I remember correctly, the beach in Dubrovnik is called Lapad Beach, located in Lapad Bay.It is actually a very long beach, with many restaurants, cafes, children playgrounds etc.
