I am considering heading for Quebec and spending some time over there. Renting a car, travelling around all by myself and exploring the region and myself too. I have recently had a lot of stress and endless personal problems, one after the other, and the break would be a very welcome thing to me. I have heard that the Outaouais region is an especially good place to go for absolute relaxtion. Has anyone ever visited this region and could you tell me some more?

The name Outaouais comes from the river by the same name, and the area is without a doubt very stunning. Apart from ample opportunity to see its natural beauty, the region's more urban spots are are also well worth a visit. Don't forget the caves - if a relaxing time is what you are after, this is the place you will find it. The great lakes, too, are a must see and I am sure that if it is at all possible to completely relax, this is the place to do it.
