Anyone tried Montreal's Viande Fumee (smoked meat)?

Hello! I'll be spending next few weeks in Montreal and I have no clue what is one able to do there especially when alone on a holiday! Do you have any tips how I could spend my time and not get bored to death? I'm looking forward to any suggestions, especially about smoked meat specials. Thanks!

Hi! I can suggest you try smoked meat at Petes. Place is just nothing special, but the food is great. And if youre lucky youll come when the live music is playing. Other good restaurants are Schwartzs and or Nickels on various location. And dont try to satisfie yourself with just chicken sandwich, try everything else.
