Hi! I have rather strange question to ask, and maybe this is not the right place but I will ask it anyway. My husband and I will be in Dubrovnik this month, and we would like to repeat our wedding ceremony there. Is there some regulations that we must fulfill before we can get married? I heard that in some countries in Europe, you can get married only if you are citizen of that country.

My friend tried to get married there too, and he had problems. Every time they went to MUP, a police station, they asked him for something different, and all papers had to have Apostille stamps no more than 6 months old. Its a very long and annoying process so be patient, because you can wait at MUP all day to see the right person. Best way is to get merried in your country after vacation, and make church wedding on some beach, since Croatia is a catholic country.
