My husband and I would like to spend some time in Barcelona, we are not sure how long exactly, but not less than a month anyway. From that reason, we are thinking about renting an apartment in some non touristy part of this city. We think it should be cheaper than renting an apartment somewhere in the center. So, we would like to know which area is considered to be non touristy. Can anyone help us with this?

It is a very hard question. It would definitely be cheaper, but I am not sure what to suggest… Have you thought of the area Gracia, for example? My husband and I have some friends who live there, and that is the first thing that crossed my mind. But anyway, I think that your idea is great, and I am even a bit jealous of you spending a whole month in this marvelous city.
