Is there any nice botanical garden around Ketchum, Idaho? My husband and I are going there in the spring, and while he’s out fishing I need to find myself some occupation. Since I love plants, botanical garden would suit me perfectly. I just need to find one. Can someone help me please?

I think there’s one, but I can’t remember where. I think it is in Wood River Valley, but I can’t vouch for that. I know I have read something about in local news papers, but since that is not really one of my interests, I didn’t pay much attention to it.

Yes, there’s a botanical garden in Ketchum, opened almost fifteen years ago. It's called Sawtooth Botanical Garden. It’s on Gimlet Road at Highway 75, in Wood River Valley. If you are there between April 26 - May 9, make sure you visit their annual Bug Zoo, my kids love it. We go every year, they just can't get enough of it.

My favorite part of Sawtooth Botanical Garden is The Garden of Infinite Compassion. It was designed by Martin Mosko, a renowned landscape architect, and it contains one of only two Tibetan prayer wheels in North America, blessed by Dalai Lama himself and filled with more then one million written mantras of compassion. It's incredibly peaceful place, perfect for relaxation.
