Hello! I have planned a magnificent vacation for me and my wife. We are going to South Africa and we are going to spend two weeks in Durban enjoying a typical, lazy vacation, lying on the beach and stuff and after that we are going to the national park Madikwe. We want to know if there are any malaria risks there.

I have some great news for you. Namely, Madikwe is a game reserve which has been established back in 1991 and it is one of the newest reserves in this country. It was founded on the soil which was pretty dry and unsuitable for farming. But more important thing is that this reserve is considered to be completely free from malaria. This place has exclusive private lodges and it is only logical that all measures of precaution have been undertaken to reduce all kinds of health risks. So, you can be absolutely calm when it comes to your safety in this reserve. This place is completely ecological and that is one of its great advantages.
